PTO - High School Activities

Capital Prep is an AWESOME school! There are a lot of reasons why this is true. One HUGE reason is because we have AMAZING parents who generously give of their time to invest in their child’s school. Our PTO cannot be what it can be without YOU! Please plug-in and volunteer for any of these High School Committees. You don’t have to be a high school parent to volunteer for any of these committees!

HOMECOMING

Students in grades 9-12 are invited to the Homecoming Dance which will take place on a Saturday in November 2013. This event is supported by the PTO. Volunteers are needed to help set-up/decorate, donations of snacks and drinks, as well as chaperone.

JUNIOR/SENIOR PROM

The Junior and Senior classes will have their prom together. This event is supported by the PTO. Volunteers are needed to support the students in securing a place for the prom as well as the cost per person/per couple, tickets, theme (if one is decided), photographer, dj, and chaperones.

SENIOR SUPPER

The Senior Supper is a night that brings the graduating Class of 2014 together with their families to honor the people that have supported them through this incredible journey. Students and their families will enjoy a great supper and celebrate their accomplishments. This is the first year of this event and we want it to become a tradition. Volunteers will be needed to set-up and decorate, contact vendors for food donations, serve families, and clean-up.

PROJECT GRADUATION

Project Graduation is an all night drug and alcohol free event for graduating seniors. This event takes place just hours after graduation and offers safe fun and activities all night long. Since classes here at Capital Prep are smaller, the Junior class is also invited to participate in Project Graduation. This event is supported by the PTO. We need parent volunteers to help support this memorable night.

We welcome all volunteers. To sign up for these and other PTO Committees, please: Click HERE.

Your PTO has been able to host and provide volunteers for several activities last school year. In addition, we provided financial support for many projects which benefited our students in all the grades.

Your PTO Donated 100 Books To Every C-Prep Lower School Classroom

Books for Every Class
On the first day of the 2013/2014 school year, the PTO Vice President of Lower School, Samenthur Neptune-Blake presented Ms. Ferguson, Head of Lower School, with books, books and more books!

Using the proceeds from the 2012/2013 Book Fairs, the PTO was able to purchase 100 books for every classroom in Capital Prep's Lower School.

Thanks again Miquel Smith and the other parent-volunteers who planned and produced last year's fair. Thanks also to all the families and staff who supported the Fall and Spring Book Fairs last school year!
